A large Financial institution is looking for multiple Big Data Developers to join their team in the digital transformation team.
The successful Developer will have experience in
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in an ETL programming role with query optimisation techniques, preferably in the big data context
- Minimum 7 to 10 years Proven experience in data analyst / engineering role with programming skills in HiveQL / SQL
- Experienced in manipulating the large data sets in the ETL and data modelling contexts
- Experience with Pentaho Data Integration and / or SAS is an advantage
- Expert in ETL (Extract Transform Load) development
- Hands on experience in Big Data, HIVE, Pentaho (ETL Tool) architecture
- Data Extraction from Teradata, HIVE, Oracle, and Flat files
- Experience in Creating Mappings, Mapplets, and Transformations for loading Target tables
- Knowledge of the standard data cleaning methods, and methodologies for assessing data quality
This is a contract position that is based in London, but is remote for the foreseeable.
