Role: Bid Solutions Architect - Strategic CommsLocation: MalvernContract: 6 MonthsDaily Rate: £500 - £600Security Clearance: SC/DV Role Description:Individuals work with customers, business development and bid teams to develop requirements, solution concepts, and technical proposals and estimates. This entails working in the problem and solution spaces, considering the feasibility of addressing the problem, and achieving a balance between problem and solution considerations. Addresses enterprise and lifecycle considerations, and devises and coordinates a suitable engineering solution integrating systems engineering and other technical and management (e.g. project management) disciplines. Employs approaches including planning, multi-disciplinary systems engineering, concurrent engineering, the integration of engineering specialisms (e.g. safety), and 'soft skills' (such as team building), to ensure that safe, effective and efficient processes are applied.Strategic Comms Solution Architect role - National Communications Data Service (NCDS):Experience of developing bid solutions for large complex programmes, from customer engagement and requirements elicitation through to proposal generation.Experience/knowledge of public sector communications data services, the Telecom and IP domains possibly IT / IS Systems.One role will be identifying the requirement for new capabilities, including New Systems, New Processes, New Services and possibly new legislation for the NCDS capability.It would be useful to have some understanding of relevant legislation for Communications Data, Intercept Regulations and Data Protection.Requirements Management, Design Assurance, Acceptance. Desirable Qualifications: 1. MSc level qualification or equivalent 2. CEng or equivalent 3. 9-13 years plus relevant experience in engineering/systems engineering. Specific Domain Knowledge: Has significant and current knowledge of the following areas and is taking active steps to sustain and extend this knowledge: 1. Knowledge of Strategic Communications and/or Public Sector domains 2. Knowledge of solution technologies and applicable processes for Solution Architects 3. Knowledge of general engineering considerations.
