My client a large global brand is looking for an experienced Bid Manager on a initial contract basis.

We are looking for an experienced, driven and customer focused professional to join our Deal Consulting team as an integral part of the Global Sales Enablement team. If you are passionate about proposal writing and complex bid management, motivated to both lead and support others in the sales and retention process and are able to effectively influence others, we are looking for you!

The Manager, Deal Consulting is a key role that delivers customized responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other sales related materials for our global prospects and clients. This role leads the bid management process and development of written and creative components of the bid process. The role is responsible for delivering a strong message and positioning of our strategic global business offer, with the ultimate goal of winning and retaining business among our group.

Job Details

  • Partner with sales and client management to develop strong messaging and positioning of our strategic business offer, in order to win new prospects and retain existing customers.
  • Oversee the entire bid process and develop client-specific materials, including RFP / RFI documentation, presentations, customized proposals, site visit collateral, and other sales related materials
  • Lead all written and creative components of the bid process
  • Synthesize and position vast amounts of product and prospect / client information to create compelling, customized sales materials, which differentiate the company and deliver solutions-focused messaging
  • Use persuasive writing and creative design skills to optimize the business offerings for each customer / prospect, and their needs.
  • Work with subject matter experts across the business to determine appropriate solutions for customer's requirements.
  • Manage large, complex, multi-phased projects that require integrated answers to complex questions.
  • Use and update bid management templates to ensure rigorous project management adhered to for all projects, and all deadlines are met.
  • Support the development and improvement of our internal RFP content library, by submitting new content for review and inclusion, and providing updates to existing materials.

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years experience in proposal management with demonstrated results. Prior marketing, Sales or Client Management experience and/or relevant experience in the corporate travel industry a plus.
  • Very strong written / verbal communication skills.
  • Sophisticated analytical and conceptual thinking skills; business and strategic acumen.
  • Strong project management skills - able to develop project plans, influence contributors to adhere to deadlines, identify and escalate risks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to drive results and manage multiple, multifaceted projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously, while also being able to collaborate and influence individuals across the company, including those in senior positions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong people leadership skills, comfortable with managing and mentoring direct reports in a virtual environment.
  • Takes the initiative, owns outcomes and develops creative solutions for problems and challenges.
  • High proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint essential.
