BDM - Cyber Intelligence Solutions - SC Cleared to be based in Farnborough on an initial 6 Month contract. Experienced leading the Sales and Business Development activities for the Cyber Intelligence Solutions portfolio.

Job Title - BDM - Cyber Intelligence Solutions - SC Cleared

Location - Farnborough

Rate - £ 600 plus per day

Duration - 6 Months

Role Purpose:

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the CIT Head of Foundation Business Development and through to the UK Business Development Director. Responsible for leading the Sales and Business Development activities for the Cyber Intelligence Solutions portfolio.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. To lead and drive the performance of the Portfolio element of the Business Winning opportunities for the CIT Cyber Intelligence Solution IDT.
  2. Maximise deliverability and profitability of sales. Sales & pipeline development target will typically exceed £3M (typically including >£1M deals).
  3. Actively seeks to build and maintains trusting relationships with a wide network of relevant people in the industry, customer and Client, leveraging these relationships appropriately.
  4. Works collaboratively with the wider BD teams in CIT to support Integrated Capture Teams and Integrated Delivery Teams and the pursuit of campaigns both across the Group and within the business.
  5. Support to the development of an effective pipeline capable of delivering the business Order Intake targets.
  6. Accountability for meeting individual and team business Order Intake targets as well as the longer term sales pipeline development and performance objectives.
  7. Ensures that their own performance positively impacts the performance of the wider sales and delivery teams
  8. Development and delivery of the sales pipeline to deliver both in-year and future success
  9. Takes personal accountability for organising themselves and others to deliver for the customer and Client; consistently takes the initiative and drives to achieve outcomes.
  10. Accurate forecasting and delivery of Order Intake targets.
  11. Contribute towards a professional Business Winning culture based on the Client Core Business Winning competencies.

Successful outcomes of this role:

  1. Winning sustainable profitable business against business objectives and financial targets.
  2. Ensuring accurate forecasting of future sales pipeline.
  3. Developing, gaining agreement, and communicating your strategy both within the business development function and to the wider business.

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

  1. Credible and proven understanding of the UK Cyber Security market.
  2. Demonstrable experience of UK Government security departments.
  3. Demonstrable experience in a Sales / Business Development role, preferable with consultancy based selling skills.
  4. Highly skilled at developing and maintaining client and business partner relationships.
  5. Knowledge of challenges and changes in the Cyber Security sector and how they may relate to Client.

Person Specification - Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Previous demonstrable experience in a UK Cyber Security business environment. Recent experience with UK Government Security department highly desirable.
  2. An exemplary role model able to demonstrate opportunity and proposition leadership across a complex business environment.
  3. A positive and compelling representative of the business to customers and partners.
  4. An advocate and practitioner of winning business, liaising with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to deliver winning propositions.
  5. A team player - whilst also being fully accountable for delivering sales performance against agreed targets.
  6. Maintains a positive and 'can do' approach.
  7. Comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within BD and an understanding of the technological disciplines within the Cyber Security arena.
  8. Thorough understanding of Client Business Winning competencies or equivalent, best practice and current thinking regarding effective and commercially sound BD strategies.
  9. Has proven experience building solutions to demanding customer requirements.
  10. Strategic creative thinker and team player who can lead to successful closure.
  11. Degree qualified in a Science/IT/Engineering/Computer discipline or equivalent.
