An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Automation Systems Architect to join a leading blue-chip organisation based in Canary Wharf, London. You will be a vital instrument to a programme which is transforming the global connectivity capabilities of this organisation, taking advantage of innovation within the networking industry, enabling new forms of high speed connectivity to drive radical simplification and exploit the scale efficiencies of becoming an increasingly cloud-centric enterprise while integrating proprietary facilities into a seamless hybrid platform.

You will be accountable for the architecture of the automation systems that will interact with the network platform and other enterprise automation, orchestration and configuration systems to enable and underpin this transformation. This is an Enterprise Network Technology (ENT) role with a functional reporting line to the Architect Lead. You will also collaborate with the wider architecture community and selected third part consulting partners. This is an amazing opportunity for a skilled and passionate Automation Systems Architect to join an exciting programme within a renowned organisation.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the target automation systems vision and architecture
  • Maintain the key touch point with selected third parties commissioned to deliver the automation systems architecture including directing third party deliverables and responding to questions as required
  • Defines a pragmatic iterative/phased approach to automation systems development, integration, and deployment that integrates with the network platform element
  • Work with network architects, service architects and selected third parties to elaborate and develop the 'end state' automation systems architecture
  • Provides strategic direction, architectural oversight & ensures alignment and/or integration with traditional OSS/NMS systems teams where necessary

About You

Essential

  • Experience leading the conception and development of complex, distributed, business-critical automation systems related to network connectivity services.
  • Committed to customer service and improving the customer experience while driving innovation and transformation
  • Ability to manage large, complex issues related to the automation and orchestration of connectivity services, defining pragmatic solution roadmaps that meet phased business objectives as well as the envisioned transformation end-state
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships across the organization and also with outside vendors and partners responsible for providing technology solutions
