ATLASSIAN TOOLS SPECIALIST: (JIRA, CONFLUENCE, BAMBOO, BITBUCKET, SCRIPTRUNNER)

The work location is in TELFORD and is a 6 month contract.

Working for a client on the forefront of major Digital change

Candidates must hold or be willing and eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

Requirements

  • Experience and familiarity with the *nix command line. Specific experience with Cent OS and Ubuntu would be beneficial *
  • Experience using separate DB servers or apps. Experience with Postgresql a definite plus Understanding of application deployment, maintenance and upgrading *
  • Should have deployed at least JIRA Server and Confluence Server themselves at some point *Having migrated system from one environment to another a distinct plus *
  • Understanding the complexities of upgrading particularly in relation to API and plugin dependencies Experience in diagnosing infrastructure and application issues from the command line and external monitoring *
  • Understanding of groovy scripting useful SME Experience *
  • Have administrated at least JIRA, Confluence and Stash before at application and infrastructure level
  • Crowd useful but any experience with a user-directory linked instance will do (LDAP, Active directory etc) *
  • Show understanding of the basic concepts of Projects, Issues, Spaces, Pages, Repositories *
  • Have created and deployed Dashboards, Agile/Scrum boards, workflows, custom fields and schemes in JIRA *
  • Understands application linking, gadget and macro feeds *
  • Understand the in-app BAU needs *
  • Indexing (JIRA, Confluence) - When needed, what the different types are. *
  • How administration works in each app *
  • How Roles, Permissions and Security levels work within the different apps and how they can be managed from a central user directory *
  • How plugins work, what the testing needs are and how they should be deployed *
  • Have a good 'bedside manner' for working through requirements with stakeholders particularly in relation to workflows and custom fields *
  • Have or have used a change management strategy before *

Experience of the following plugins essential:

  • JIRA Agile
  • JIRA Service Desk
  • Team Calendars
  • ScriptRunner *

Experience of the following nice to have:

  • Dataplane
  • Portfolio General Experience *
  • Previous experience of a rollout or deployment will be extremely helpful *
  • Understanding of Agile processes *
  • Good grasp of general process management - What makes sense what doesn't in terms of recording workflow in JIRA *

Good documentation principles *

  • Previous application support/DevOps background is a plus *
  • Can work on issues without support if needed.
