The role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a well organised and pro-active individual who is looking to further their career within project management. As part of the Research and Innovation Integrated Delivery Team and in support of Project Managers, you will be responsible for managing a variety of challenging tasks and smaller projects.

Working as part of a team of 12, you will build strong working relationships with your clients, allowing you to set realistic expectations against projects with unclear requirements.

Key Accountabilities.

The associate project manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers.

You will be ensuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the Performance Management System.

The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for sales and delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work.

You will apply governance requirements (including lifecycle, project & independent reviews as appropriate) for foundation sales and delivery work.

You will be reporting progress to the programme / portfolio manager (or their delegate).

The Fit.

This opportunity will suit a motivated and driven individual who is looking to pursue a career within project management. The successful candidate will ideally have experience gained from a projects support / junior PM role or similar and be studying towards a relevant Project Management qualification (Prince II, APM etc).
