Role Description
The client is looking for a candidate to support the project management team in the management of project activities for which they are responsible, in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), Railway Group standards, and all current applicable legislation including CDM Regulations.

Key Responsibilities
The standard responsibilities are to:

  • Work as part of a project team, assisting to deliver projects to time, cost and quality through various phases in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Monitor and report programme and progress in accordance with project reporting systems and guidelines.
  • Develop and integrate, effective support systems to enable the Project Manager to manage and control change.
  • Manage implementation of the RailNet communications plan to deliver timely project communications.
  • Manage sites migrated over to VCT (12 months Divert) ensuring that all lines identified that are operational critical remain diverted. Lines that are being migrated identified correctly.
  • Support Project Team with Go Live sites and manage issues arising from sites that have migrated, and resolve and update end user
  • 7Update monitor and manage project trackers


Key Skills

  • Educated to A level in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience in successfully delivering Telecoms/Technology projects
  • APMP or PRINCE2 Fundamentals
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Successful record of project budget management and ability to understand and interpret commercial and financial landscapes (budgets, forecasts, actual status).
  • A team player and a self-starter with willingness to learn, challenge and get involved.


Key Outputs

  • Implement communications plan for the IP voice Trial sites
  • Construct the communications plan for the IP voice Phases Main Rollout
  • Ensure the project delivery trackers are kept up to date
