Assistant Category Manager - PAYE CONTRACTORS ONLY

  • Support the implementation of the global Facilities Management strategy, supporting related procurement activity.

  • Ensure the category management approach follows standardised processes, acknowledges lessons learnt and good practice, and delivers improved operational efficiency.

  • Support the delivery of category savings and cost avoidance plans

  • Manage risk within the supply chain through commodity knowledge, checking supplier capabilities and financial health and helping to ensure that contractual arrangements protect best interests.

  • Support tender activity to ensure best value for money from the market across cost, quality and service parameters.

  • Engage with multiple cross- divisional and cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure that Indirect Procurement sourcing activities align to key operational objectives and expectations.

  • Act as an Ambassador of the central Procurement organisation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, supporting internal stakeholders in delivery of annual cost, quality & delivery objectives for assigned commodities.

  • Follow Indirect Procurement processes, practices and reporting, to drive continuous improvement and align activities.

  • Utilise best practice and latest procurement tools and approach in order ensure category governance and compliance.
