Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Conducting and supporting sourcing activities;
  • Conducting annual supplier assessments in accordance with Babcock's due diligence programme;
  • Expediting supplier order books to support our Customer's requirements;
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and our third party logistics providers;
  • Supporting Supplier Relationship Management activities;
  • Managing the quality of data in our company ERP system.

Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:

  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Supply Chain requirements.
  • Experience in a supplier-facing or customer-facing role;
  • Clear understanding of the benefits that the Procurement and Supply Chain function can bring to a business;
  • Ability to assess and prioritise tasks effectively;
  • Commercially astute;
  • Studying towards, or willing to study for, MCIPS qualification;
  • Confident, self-motivated and with a flexible approach to workload.
  • Good communicator with the ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Holder of a full UK driving licence
