Assistant Accountant - Competitive Salary - Nottingham

Looking for an individual to join this FTSE 100 Business as an Assistant Accountant working out of their Nottingham office.

You will assist in the production of accurate and timely project financial information, ensuring adherence to robust financial controls, supporting the Finance and Project teams, and improving the efficiency of processes and reporting.

This is a great opportunity for an Accountancy professional to join a prestigious, world leading business.

Major Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Work with the Senior Project Controller and Project Accountant in maintaining and improving processes used to operate and control project financial performance.
  • Timely and accurate recording, preparation and presentation of project and overhead financial information.
  • Ensure provision of effective financial support to the project teams, ensuring tight control of all revenue transactions.
  • Work with the project teams and overhead budget owners, to ensure robust analysis of costs, providing in depth analyses where required.

Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:

  • AAT, Part Qualified Accountant, or a number of years of experience within a Finance function.
  • Experience in detailed costing analysis
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and techniques.
  • Good communication skills with Finance and non-Finance Managers.
