An excellent opportunity to work for a high profile Multi-Family Office, based in Central London with varied household name business interests, is looking for a confident and professional Assistant Accountant.

A hands on role in a fast paced office environment, this position will report directly to the Financial Controller. This role will suit someone who likes a varied role who will assist with the responsibility for both personal and business financial accounting and control activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a business featured on the Sunday Times Rich List 2019.

The Job

  • Responsible for providing full accounting assistance to the Financial Controller
  • Posting invoices on to Xero for all entities (60-100 per week)
  • Reconciling credit cards for all staff
  • Reconciling all bank accounts
  • Preparing weekly and monthly cash reports
  • Assisting with annual budgets
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Assisting/preparing annual accounts
  • Assisting with the audit process
  • Assisting with tax returns
  • Making bank payments
  • Preparing and producing weekly and monthly reports
  • Undertake Ad-hoc project related tasks as required

The Person

  • Essential - Hold a relevant recognised finance/accounting qualification AAT Qualified for at least 1 year/Part qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Desirable - Accounting Degree
  • Essential - Previous relevant experience Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper/ Finance Officer / Accountant
  • Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders and customers.
  • Strong computer skills, including demonstrable competency in software packages including Xero (Intermediate/Advanced), Microsoft Office, Excel (Advanced Pivot tables) and Word.
  • Be accountable for work performed, ensuring agreed timelines are complied with.
  • Prioritise own workload, with the ability to also work under pressure
