My client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated manager to join a varied team where they can lead the Applications Support and Information Management Functions. This is an excellent opportunity for the perfect candidate to successfully lead the management, development and implementation of the client's application support teams (including availability, training, design standards, security and quality control) and provide support and assistance to all service units with any Enterprise Applications or Information related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Line manage and motivate Enterprise Applications Support and Information Management team members whilst monitoring and evaluating both individual and team performance.
  • Ensure that your knowledge of each enterprise application and business intelligence system is maintained and updated regularly.
  • Manage the Data and Management Information specialists to enable a successful move from historical reporting to trend analysis and predictive analytics, converting rich static data to timely information delivered to staff where and when needed.
  • Using accumulated management expertise and technical knowledge and proactively provide management advice backed with technical guidance to members of the team.
  • Ensure that the correct balance is maintained between managerial and technical input to maximise the effectiveness of the service offered to its users.
  • Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders within and out with IT services.
  • Work with application owners to create and maintain a business continuity plan, ensuring optimum availability of enterprise applications and supporting systems.
  • Coordinate work programmes/projects across multiple departments and deliver projects within time and budgetary constraints.
  • Participate in internal and external committees and working groups providing direction as required relating to area of expertise.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and direction of the clients Information Systems, in accordance with requirements and legislation
  • Develop and lead the implementation of strategies to maintain and improve Enterprise Applications
  • Take full responsibility for the outputs of the Applications Support Team.
  • Contribute to the overall security of the clients systems and services.

Key Skills:

  • ITIL Foundation exam
  • Experience with Qlikview, Data Architect
  • Proven Enterprise Applications management experience in a technical customer focused environment
  • Ability to co-ordinate work across multiple departments and deliver projects within time and budgetary constraints
  • Detailed knowledge of the principles and practice of Enterprise Applications management and rationalisation.
  • Knowledge of modern information management practices and governance
  • Customer and results focused
  • Experience in reviewing business requirements and developing designs from them

Desirable

  • Project Management Qualification (e.g. Prince 2)
  • Experience working with management information systems and business intelligence data
  • Staff coaching and appraisal skills
  • Experience of working with management information systems and business intelligence data
