My client is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their expanding team. You will be joining them in their headquarters in Edinburgh where you will be working with sophisticated and high-value software.


  • Accurately and efficiently record, progress and resolve internal and external issues.
  • Liaise with support teams, resolving issues in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivered services.
  • Work within a team to support one another using various systems and database platforms.
  • Work closely with internal and external groups, providing a seamless support experience.
  • Provide accurate and regular updates to internal and external customers on any known issues.
  • Provide support across a variety of shifts, including evening, night and weekend.
  • Provide excellent customer support across a variety of operating systems.
  • Commitment and ability to continuously self-improve and develop, motivation to self-study, training and online-training.

Key Skills

  • Customer Service skills
  • Configuring and maintaining database products: Microsoft SQL, Oracle, DB2 or MySQL.
  • Ability to create/ amend SQL updates and queries.
  • Ability to commit to learning new technologies and applications in a timely manner.
  • Organisational Skills.
  • Attention to detail, high standard of both written and spoken English.


  • Understanding and awareness of ITIL.
  • Windows professional support.
  • Several years experience of supporting internal/ external customers.
  • Experience with a range of complex applications.
  • Exposure to basic web development.
  • Experience with client side tracing tools.
  • Experience with client analysis logs.
  • Proficiency in one or more additional languages, not essential but would be a benefit.
