The work location is in Osterley and is a 3 Month contract paying £500-550 Per Day.

Who you'll be working on:

This role is to build and support an Android TV /Android (AOSP) based media platform, to complement and extend the multi-award winning product line. The role will include modifying and optimizing the Android stack to support new and existing apps. The right candidate will be able and willing to work with cross-functional teams with different technical capabilities and focus, and be involved in triaging issues and prioritizing feature/bug fixes.

Based out of the West London, which is home to the core product, architecture and development teams for companies latest product line
The product has seen considerable business and design success in its first year of launch in UK. We have an incredibly exciting and ambitious product road map ahead. Offering visibility into a truly end-to-end product and content life-cycles extending from camera to the TV, Client provides plenty of growth opportunities in different teams, domains and verticals.

What we need to see:

  • Extensive experience of working on Android TV Stack/ apps.
  • Strong knowledge of Android media framework, in-depth knowledge in the area of integrating Players (primarily ExoPlayer) with various Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions (Widevine, Playready etc.).
  • Practical experience with common third-party libraries and frameworks such as Retrofit, RxJava/RxAndroid, Espressso, Picasso, Dagger.
  • Prior experience with aspects of development/ integration, testing and deployment of custom software components for the Android TV platform.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and transfer technical knowledge to other members of the team.
  • Experience/awareness of software development tools such as Gradle, Ant, Android Studio, Eclipse, Shell script, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and Confluence.
