Role: Technical Business Analyst
Location: Osterley
Contract: 6 Months

Would you like to work for the UK's most innovative and clear market leader in media and broadcasting?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst, you will be working closely with the Lead Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Scrum Master and Engineers along with the wider Product team to help deliver cutting edge products for the brand. You'll drive the business requirements, assist in planning sessions and help plan the road maps of work to ensure a smooth development process. You'll also help manage communications with commercial stakeholders across the business and externally to sell the product capabilities and gather market feedback. You'll need to credibly understand business, delivery and technical objectives in order to gather, prioritise and communicate requirements within the development team.

In the main, your responsibilities will be;

  • Gather complex business requirements and convert into Agile software development stories.
  • Help the lead product owner manage and prioritise the development team's roadmap and help to ensure the team's delivery plans are aligned with the strategic technical and product roadmaps
  • Lead the team focus on business value and expertise
  • Ensure that all projects have been defined correctly through the WID Process and that the value has been understood and verified
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure there is sufficient throughput of prioritised work that is refined and ready for planning
  • Foster direct collaboration between teams and continuous integration by leveraging internal networks across the business
  • Participate in all team and department agile ceremonies/meetings and be on hand when the team need clarification on requirements
  • Support the departmental technical direction and drive any initiatives through projects
  • Capture Business and technical requirements, mapping to deliverables and business value in order to ensure high-quality outputs and gaining sign-off from relevant stakeholders where and when appropriate
  • Handle queries and issues raised by stakeholders and clients around the business, ensuring defects are identified and prioritised appropriately and that delivery time-lines are communicated clearly
  • Champion the product internally and externally, and drive continued acceptance and success.

The successful candidate will possess the following;

  • Ability to quickly understand, research, and rationalise business requirements in order to produce a backlog of development work
  • Ability to be confident, engaging and credible with internal stakeholders, and external customers/suppliers
  • Strong understanding of how corporate business works
  • Ability to motivate and provide clear leadership to a team
  • Ability to establish relationships and rapport quickly and effectively with stakeholders and peers
  • Commitment to produce the highest quality products, delivering against targets and achieving departmental, team and individual goals
  • Demonstrable experience of using relevant documenting & diagramming techniques such as Domain Models, Process Flow, Use Cases, User Stories, User Journeys
