Analytical chemist

Purpose of the roles

Analytical Chemist required to work in a dedicated Quality Technical Analytics group. The QTA activities include but are not limited to the following activities; method development, validation, method transfer clinical trials, ALCM and equipment qualification.

Accountabilities:

  • Involved in method development, method validation, method transfer, clinical trials and ALCM.
  • Provide analytical services and support to the site, ensuring compliance to GMP's and SOP's.
  • Use technical skills and experience to troubleshoot and problem solve product testing issues.
  • Assist in routine testing procedures in support of team targets.
  • Ensure and maintain GLP compliance at all times
  • Maintain, update and issue chemical methods, specifications and SOP's in compliance to pharmacopoeial and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Safety is at the forefront at all times
  • Training other team members as required
  • Forming relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist and/or lead projects for lean implementation/continuous improvement/compliance projects.

Qualifications

3rd level qualification in a science related discipline required (chemistry or biochemistry degree an advantage).

Experience:

  • 2-5+ years experience in a Healthcare manufacturing laboratory environment - ideally part of which would be in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Expertise in HPLC, GC, CE, and SDS Page would be an advantage
  • Problem solving ability utilizing fishbone and 5-why techniques
  • Experience with Empower highly preferred
  • Experience in lab systems in general-LIMS, Trackwise, JUMP desirable
  • Experience in method transfers, method development/troubleshooting a distinct advantage.
