Delivery Manager - ALM / Agile

Location: Telford / Remote Initially

Role Outline:

Our Client is a multinational corporation that provides consulting, technology, professional, and outsourcing services. They are looking for an Application Lifecycle Management Delivery Manager to own multiple agile projects across varied customers, ensuring all members perform their tasks to time, quality and budget where appropriate, and that outcomes are delivered to expectations.


  • Ensure that team members are aware of tasks and are actively progressing them and sharing their progress through use of delivery management tools.
  • Produce financial reports and analyse cost variances, obtain and manage monthly forecasts for a number of teams within the project, provide input into monthly project M review
  • Identify project risks and dependencies, manage dependencies and enact risk mitigation's, recognise the need for escalation and escalate accordingly Issue management: Manage issues, conflicts and bring these to resolution in a timely manner, ideally without further escalation.
  • Understand the change management process and be confident in managing change requests from requirement to scoped change to delivery.
  • Initiate and build relationships with a good commercial awareness and understanding of the client business
  • Define resource requirements for discrete pieces of work and communicate to the demand and capacity manager. Work with the resource holders to negotiate and agree resources. Set assignment objectives for assigned resources and conduct assignment reviews, ensure that team members have time codes to record their time accurately. Manage resources who may be operating simultaneously across live service support and other projects.
  • Manage the estimation for pieces of work and CRs, provide input into feasibility and design proposals, develop and present solutions and options for discussion and provide knowledgeable recommendations
  • Provide regular reports to clients and line management.
  • Manage the execution and implementation of the project or discrete pieces of work, ensure that the applicable handover to live and RFC processes are adhered to as relevant to the client environment. Develop and agree necessary trial plans and acceptance criteria with the client, complete the necessary close down activities and provide input into the project evaluation review

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of project deliveries using various delivery frameworks, especially Agile.
  • Experience of Scaled Agile would also be desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with Jira / Confluence is essential.
  • Familiarity with project and programme management plugins like BigPicture is a bonus.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, influencing and coaching skills.
