An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to join a FTSE 100 Organisation based in Wiltshire, to undertake scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance of the aircraft and engine systems of Class One aircraft, Ground Instructional Aircraft (GIAs), Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and associated miscellaneous equipment.

  • To provide progress updates and feedback to the customer/ESM as required.
  • Ensure all work carried out is correctly authorised and recorded.
  • Provide technical administration of all equipment and personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements of HSWA, COSHH and Flight Safety Directives.
  • Conduct quality audit checks on aircraft and aircraft documentation in accordance with Authority procedures.
  • Carry out periodic audits as detailed in Authority procedures.
  • Participate in presentations, briefings to external agencies and visitors.
  • To supervise Avionics Technicians to ensure full compliance with relevant H&SE & PPE requirements
  • To perform any other tasks as directed by their line manager deemed within their competencies.

Successful candidate requirements:

  • Rotary Wing, Aircraft Maintenance background
  • Professional engineering qualifications and technical experience in a relevant aviation engineering discipline
  • Managerial/Supervisory experience in the Aircraft maintenance environment. - Essential
  • Significant practical aircraft maintenance experience in industry, Armed Forces or Quality Assurance Directorate on full time aircraft inspections.
  • Authority to sign off aircraft maintenance documentation to Second Signature (Supervisor) level detailed in the Authorisations of the MAA.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
