Aircraft Fitter - Cheltenham

A market leading FTSE 100 Aerospace and Defence organisation is currently recruiting for a Aircraft Fitter to take on a permanent position ASAP. The company is highly regarded for its employee recognition and vital position in today's market place. You will be a driven individual who is looking to work in a fast paced environment with supportive team in a diverse and challenging environment.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows: Aircraft modification installation

  • Aircraft maintenance and repair
  • Complying with EASA Part 145 regulations and processes as detailed in Company Exposition and other documentation.
  • Maintaining a safe, efficient and compliant working environment.

Key Outputs/Deliverables:

  • Installation and maintenance work to required PART 145 requirements
  • Efficient productivity to meet maintenance & installation programmes
  • Efficient use of Company resources (spares, consumables, utilities)
  • Maintaining a safe, efficient and compliant working environment.

The successful candidate will display the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Aircraft system, maintenance processes in a Part 145 Environment
  • Competent mechanical skills: component removal/fitment; maintenance inspections; sheet metal/composite hand skills
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Competent working knowledge of regulations and requirements associated with aircraft modification packages.
  • Basic IT Skills
  • Competent communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Ability to work with minimum direct supervision.
  • Rotary wing Line & Base maintenance experience.
  • Current knowledge of EASA Part M & Part 145 regulations
  • Formal Technical training is desirable
