Agile Digital Transformation Manager - Milton Keynes - Initial 3 months

Agile Digital Transformation Manager required to join a multinational information technology company based in Milton Keynes on an initial 3 month contract.

Skills: Agile Transformation; Project Management; budgeting and forecasting, risk and issue management, planning and tracking, resource management. Experience in large complex multivendor scenarios.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver transformation of engagement to Agile - encompasses the realignment of people, process and technology.
  • Provide management oversight and leadership of project team comprising the client, third party supplier resources.
  • Oversee development, build, test and post Go Live phases of work.

Candidate Profile:

  • Project Management; budgeting and forecasting, risk and issue management, planning and tracking, resource management.
  • Experience in client facing delivery leadership within a system integrator, with excellent experience of managing the commercial issues this involves in large complex multivendor scenarios.
  • Understanding of geo-spatial information systems would be a plus.
  • Comfortable building transformation roadmaps, scorecards, developing and leading workshops and training, coaching others as well as more traditional report focused delivery.
  • Experience of Waterfall delivery (as this will be a step in the transformational journey).
  • Experience of leading on an agile transformation of the programme, interfacing with technology and the business to help build a contemporary lean, agile development practice.
  • Deep level of understanding of agile development practices including agile at scale - with a distributed project team.
  • Familiarity with contemporary good practice in digital product development including Scrum, Extreme Programming, Dev-Ops, lean start-up, GDS service standards. Understanding of contemporary computing practices.
  • Understanding of legacy IT systems, processes and governance, how to move away from these in a managed transition
  • Experience implementing contemporary, light touch agile forms of programme/project management and governance that enable agile and dev-ops forms of working.
