Location: Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £11.25/hr PAYE

Hours: 36 hours per week; 7.30 start.

Devonport Dockyard
Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy's new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

About the role

Experis are seeking an experienced Administrator to join HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe.
They are a key strategic partner to the MOD and the Royal Navy.
They ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying their core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

General duties will include but are not limited to:-

  • Typing letters/reports
  • Photocopying
  • Distributing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Taking telephone calls
  • Emails
  • Liaising with hiring managers
  • Receive and direct visitors and client
  • Escorting

What do I need to do the role?
You will need good communication skills - written and verbal as well as good attention to detail and accuracy.
You will also require the following:

  • Flexibility
  • Customer focus
  • Teamwork

Finally, you will need an NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent experience and to be educated to GCSE level C including English and Mathematics.
