Accounts Payable Transactional Manager



Salary £30,000 - £40,000 Per Year

Here at Babcock International we have this exciting and challenging opportunity within our shared service centre based in Lakeside, Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery and development of the AP function with specific responsibility for the end-to-end processes for SAP.

The focus of this role will be to deliver exceptional services to both internal customers and suppliers alike. This will be achieved through the lens of operational and reporting metrics to demonstrate the team is performing at an optimal level. The role therefore requires an individual with significant exposure to transactional processes and who can demonstrate an ability to adapt to change and performance manage a large team.

What do I need to do the role?
You will have strong knowledge of accounts payable and purchasing processes along with experience of delivering to strict deadlines within an ERP environment.

We would also like you to hold some or all of the following:

  • Exposure to managing high performing teams preferably within a Shared Services or customer services environment.
  • Must be highly organised and able to work in a structured environment with the ability to manage and delegate a large number of tasks simultaneously.
  • Influential, decision making and line management qualities to Manager Level.
  • Able to find solutions to functional and operational business problems.
