My client, a large global insurance company based in London, is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a 6 month contract assignment.
You should ideally be immediately available or on a maximum of 2 week's notice, and be happy to work via your own limited company or an umbrella company.

Role Description:

· You will be assisting the current accounting team during a busy period, helping with complex account reconciliations and completion of a number of ledger items relating to the reinsurance business.
· The tasks will involve liaising with various internal staff, discussing ledger items with external reinsurers / brokers, and dealing with any queries that may arise from your investigations.

Required Skills:

· Experience in a similar accounting role, dealing with general ledgers and reconciliations.
· Insurance/Reinsurance industry knowledge
General IT skills including strong Excel and Word
· Strong communication skills
· Self-starter with an inquisitive mind
