I am recruiting an Assistant Project/Contract Manager to work with a FTSE 250 Engineering Support Services Organisation in Bristol. This role functions within their Marine and Technology Division which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy. This position sits within the Equipment Management (EM) Contracts which provide varied equipment for use on-board numerous surface ships.

Reporting into the Lead Account Manager you will be the key customer interface for an Equipment Management (EM) Contract. You will be responsible for the delivery of an effective service, particularly focused on achieving customer satisfaction, achieving the required levels of delivery performance, ensuring the financial performance of the portfolio and securing growth opportunities.


  • Translate the business strategy into detailed plans and objectives for successful contract delivery and growth.
  • Develop and maintain the stakeholder engagement to achieve account objectives.
  • Manage the delivery and the growth of the contract through risk and opportunity management, including growing the value offering to the customer.
  • Develop the capability of the team to meet the contract delivery challenges.
  • Deliver solutions to complex contractual problems.
  • Engage with customers to understand their measures of success to inform our best efforts in driving customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the Equipment Management business, supporting Business Development team with subject matter expertise, best practice and learning from experience and supporting the tender generation and review process as required.

Required Experience:

  • Have you been accountable for managing your own budget/project finances?
  • Have you had experience producing financial forecasts?
  • Have you had experience producing procurement plans and strategies?
  • Have you had experience managing project risks?
  • Have you had experience of customer interaction?
