I am recruiting on behalf of a FTSE 250 Engineering Organisation and a true market leader within engineering support services. This particular role supports major contracts with MOD in support of a wide range of naval platforms.
We are looking for an accomplished Account Manager to develop relationships with key stakeholders within the client organisations and suppliers. You will be responsible for the financial performance and organic growth of your area.
Main Purpose of Role

  • Translate the EM business strategy into detailed plans and objectives for successful contract delivery and growth, including financial performance, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, internal processes, people and investment.
  • Develop the key stakeholder mapping and develop I maintain the stakeholder engagement strategy to achieve account objectives.
  • Implement a customer engagement strategy that builds strong relationships and insight
  • Engage with customers to understand their measures of success to inform our best efforts in driving customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that delivery promises and expectations are managed internally and externally through effective leadership and influencing skills.
  • Build customer intelligence including wider knowledge (e.g. fleet plans) into robust demand and supply plans.
  • Use strong and effective customer relationships to deliver organic growth opportunities through the existing suite of contracts.
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the EM business, supporting Business Development team with subject matter expertise, best practice and learning from experience and supporting the tender generation and review process as required.


  • P3M experience in a business to business corporate environment, with proven track record of delivery of projects/programmes.
  • Experience delivering projects with broad external supply chains.
  • Experience working with senior level managers both internally and externally.
  • Profit and loss responsibility for a project is desirable.
  • Experience managing equipment support contracts including provision of spares, repairs and post design technical support is desirable.
  • Business development and sales experience is desirable.
  • Direct line management experience as well as leadership in a matrix environment is desirable.
