Early Careers Training Quality & Information Manager (9379)

To document, maintain and continually improve a quality management system within the Early Careers Development Centre (ECDC) in accordance with the requirements of business and UK educational standards, and to design, implement and maintain an information management policy and suitable system.

Specific responsibilities

* Responsibility and authority for assuring that ECDC meets all regulatory and legal requirements;
* Ensuring an effective competency (technical and teaching) management system is in place for ECDC staff;
* Arranging and maintaining a record of qualifications and competencies of all staff and apprentices (CPD);
* Management and design of electronic filing system;
* Responsible for the maintenance of the ECDC Quality Management System (QMS), to fully meet Ofsted and examining body requirements;
* Responsible for the implementation and management of ECDC Management Information System;
* Implementing and managing the VLE, assisting staff where necessary;
* Create, implement and manage an Information Management Plan to provide best practice management of all electronic and hardcopy documentation handled on and utilised by ECDC;
* Monitoring performance of apprentices by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
* Write, review and maintain the school training manual and training operating procedures as well as ensuring staff and students are applying all policies and procedures correctly;
* Maintenance of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP);
* Carry out regular internal evaluation of training, record issues in the QIP and ensure the feedback loop is closed;
* Highlight any quality issues to the school LT as a matter of priority;
* Carry out annual external evaluation to ensure trained personnel are fit for purpose when employed within QQ;
* Providing an input to course planning where required;
* Supporting the CAL Manager in teaching development for tutors, ensuring quality in their delivery;
* Delivery of the Quality review meetings to review the QIP and other significant quality issues;
* H&S/SHEF rep for bldg. 814 and H45.

Knowledge, Skills required:

* Relevant and recent knowledge of an educational environment;
* Comprehensive understanding of Quality Management in the training or education sector;
* Experience of NVQ assessment and Internal Quality Assurance;
* Knowledge of Safeguarding practices;
* Excellent relationship building skills;
* Strong team working ethic.
* Improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality Management System;
* Ensuring quality is at the heart of the growth strategy for ECDC.

Key accountabilities:

* Leadership of Quality Assurance across ECDC to assure consistency and optimum performance;
* Oversight of an ECDC Sampling Plan to provide robust but proportionate internal quality assurance.
* Promotion and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives throughout ECDC
