Job title: Investor Relations Analyst

Location: Farnborough

Key Responsibilities

* Run shareholder reports to prioritise meeting allocation and investor targeting
* Work with brokers and independently to arrange meetings with shareholders/analysts, particularly following results announcements, as well as other ad hoc internal and external meetings
* Manage itineraries and logistics, including the creation of investor profiles ahead of meetings
* Manage events such as the interim and preliminary results and other investor events: distribution of invitations, event logistics, budget, itineraries, venue and equipment hire plus provide on-site support
Board meetings:
* Support the preparation of investor relations materials for Board

Annual report
* Responsible for the timely production of the annual report including development of the project plan
* Work with key internal stakeholders to meet production milestones against a pre-agreed project plan
* Working with stakeholders to develop and maintain production timetables
* Manage suppliers to deliver quality and cost efficiencies in the reports production
* Incorporate key IR messaging into the design and content of the report
* Stay informed of reporting requirements and best practices

Data management
* Manage database and distribution lists
* Maintain accurate records of investors (active and inactive) and other contacts
* Maintain database of sector/company research
* Maintain an up-to-date database of competitor key performance indicators

Investor/analyst queries and requests
* Liaise with brokers, analysts and investors to handle general enquiries
* Management of IR email inbox
* Review share register to judge effectiveness of IR engagement

General matters
* Manage team diaries and support meetings as required (i.e. booking meeting rooms, catering etc)
* Maintain the QinetiQ IR calendar, liaising with the key senior stakeholders assistants
* General file management and responsibility for processing invoices and supplier expenses for the team

Knowledge and Experience Required

You will be expected to be able to work independently on day-to-day tasks but with a very clear understanding of when queries/requests, particularly from investors and analysts, should be escalated

* Excellent attention to detail and confidence to flag up inconsistencies in content
* Proactive and flexible approach to work and ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise/manage own workload
* Ability to work to tight deadlines/under pressure with minimum supervision
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to form and develop strong working relationships with internal teams, members of QinetiQ executive committee and suppliers
* High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgement
* Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills and working knowledge of Excel

Formal education and professional and/or technical qualifications required

* Educated to degree level (Finance qualifications would be desirable)
* Basic knowledge of capital markets and the regulatory requirements governing quoted companies is essential
* Administration/ IR courses or equivalent would be advantageous
