4th line support engineer - 7 month - Hook

My client, a large multinational technology company, is looking for a 4th line support engineer to join them onsite in Hook on a 7-month contract

Role Accountabilities

  • The successful candidate will design/undertakes impact analysis of small to medium size solutions
  • You will schedule and monitor your own work and flag any problems/queries to the appropriate team
  • You will also contribute and produce project plans for medium sized solutions as well as producing high quality solutions and documentation through the use of a structured approach
  • You will work influentially with the customer to discover document and prioritise requirements
  • You shall provide technical support to issues raised by the Service Ops Centre
  • You will be responsible for following the engineering life cycle and delivering engineering changed to time and quality

Key skills

  • You must have excellent communication skills
  • The ability to produce concise install documentation
  • It is a must that you have a good understanding of:
    • Forefront Identity Manager
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • Power shell
    • VMware ESXi
    • Windows Server 2008/2012 R2
  • Must have experience of working in a secure environment
  • A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered
