3rd Line Technical Support

Tunbridge Wells

Our client, a large insurance company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced 3rd line support/ Technical Analyst to join their team based in Tunbridge Wells for an initial 6 months.

The successful candidate will provide 3rd line technical resources within Workplace Services and carry out technical support to the clients Business users and the various IT support teams; that are routinely engaged to maintain end user services; either as part of the BAU incident management or the Project delivery support processes.

Required skills:

  • Experienced technical analyst with an excellent record in an end user computing analyst role
  • Proven experience of working within a project environment providing documentation, technical deliverables and handover to operational teams
  • Ability to compare business, commercial and technical requirements and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to communicate ideas and solutions to audiences of all levels and nationalities, adapting style accordingly
  • Ability to pass on relevant I.T. knowledge to others

Must have a strong experience & understanding of most of the following technologies:

  • Windows 7
  • XenApp 6.5; and XenDesktop 7.6 being accessed via WYSE Xenith Thin Client Devices;
  • NEXThink
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • VMWare ESX and VDI Provisioning
  • Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, & 2010 and MS Lync 2010/2013
  • Cisco IP communication, Cisco VPN Client software & Cisco AnyConnect
  • Checkpoint Media Encryption tools (CPME) R73 & R77
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)
  • Bitlocker Drive Encryption
  • Application Virtualisation using Microsoft App-V
  • AppSense 8
  • Windows Server 2003 & 2008 and DNS
  • SCCM/CA desktop management and deployment products
  • Microsoft Windows Software Update Services
