2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer - SC Cleared3 MonthsFarnboroughUp To £250 p/dayMy client is seeking an experienced 2nd line support engineer to join their busy team in Farnborough. The successful candidate will be a team player with a flexible approach to working, also supporting site installations, moves, adds and changes. Installation and support for network and telephony equipment. You will also be expected to provide field infrastructure support, provide new infrastructure and Audio Visual installations and make changes to data/voice network to meet business needs to agreed Service Levels. Provide field break/fix maintenance to the data/voice network and infrastructure.Activities* Supporting Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC) facilities * Supporting mobile devices * Managing of the helpdesk call system tickets * Management of DAMS (desktop asset management system) * Fault diagnosis/fix of corporate and standalone PC systems and peripherals * Remotely assist network management teams with "remote hands" for fault diagnosis/fix of the corporate data & voice networks and cabling infrastructure. * Effective working relationships with operational teams and internal customers * Ensuring compliance with client policies, procedures and work instructions * Shadowing the Communications Team to gain broader skill set. * To undertake other duties as directed by the Team Leader * Good education in English, Maths & ICT * Desktop support in an enterprise environment preferred * Competent in Microsoft Office applications * A genuine interest and passion for IT * Good customer service/people skills * Knowledge of, or competency in, PC, laptop, printer & hardware repair and maintenance * Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisationDue to the nature of my client applicants must hold valid SC clearance or be willing to undergo the process.
