Web Application Architect
A rapidly expanding consultancy is looking to bring in a Web Application Architect to join their team of experts. As a Web application Architect you will be comfortable presenting solutions to clients, estimating costs, leading the design process, acting as the technical point of contact and managing technical risk. Typically, you will work on fast-moving projects which have a high degree of uncertainty and will show your skill at providing the clarity needed for our projects to succeed.
Areas of focus:
Digital Transformation: Business transformation (digital) or Business Development.
Power of Mobile: Application creation and modification applications for both Business-2-Bsiness and Business-2-Consumer purposes.
Social Enterprise: Interpretation and manipulation of social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc)
Role description:
You will have to own the design and evolution of a major standalone application or sub-system component whilst making sure business requirements can be supported by a new or existing architecture and anticipating technical issues before they arise. Acting as a technical point of contact and mentor for development teams and client personnel you will also have to review, challenge and guide the work of application delivery teams. As the Web Application Architect you will show off your ability producing and reviewing estimates for new application delivery or changes to existing applications. You will be required to assess business requirements and present technical recommendations that are in line with the strategic architecture roadmap and best practice.
If you have extensive web technologies experience including enterprise portals, intranets, extranets, collaboration technologies, ECM/document management, social media, web CMS, eCommerce, mobile web, rich Internet technologies and applications (eg Flex, Java FX, Silverlight) they your profile will be of particular interest to the position on Web Application Architect.

Required Skills:
- Full application life-cycle experience and responsibility for the technical integrity of a solution
- Strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns
- UML and RUP experience
- Experience of software development methodologies and structured approach to development
- Experience of leading development teams to deliver successful solutions
You will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent negotiation skills with stakeholders, vendors and suppliers
