Our client requires a technical Unix consultant based in Newcastle.
Working as part of a team of Unix trained technicians, the role involves the build and commission of various technical environments using pre-defined build instructions provided by a third party. The team are specialists with niche skills and are part of a technical capability responsible for the build, implementation and ongoing support. The intention is for the team to develop tooling for automation wherever possible and will be part of the role.
Skills:
Strong Technical Background
Unix (Solaris) (IBM AIX), Red Hat Linux, Scripting, Ability to work in a disciplined environment under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. Strong inter-personal skills.
Desirable skills:
WebSphere, Sun One Directory (LDAP), SQL, Informatica, Red Hat Linux, Understanding of Networks.
