(Tomcat, Java, Configuration, client server software, standards)
My client is looking for a Tomcat specialist to look into some issues with some client-server software that occurred recently which had quite an impact on the users in the business and which was resolved by amending one of the memory parameters in the tomcat configuration file. The business is, therefore, looking for someone to perform a "best practice" audit of the installation to determine if it meets standard conventions.
So you will be taksed with analysing whether it is configured optimally for the various web applications, whether the memory configuration meets industry standards, whether the security settings and user authentication settings are appropriate and again in line with best practice, whether we should be on later versions of the web server software (and what the impact might be on performance currently if we're not already there) whether the right config settings/files etc. are currently being backed up , if this consultancy piece is something you feel you can assist with please send me your cv - ASAP start.
