My client is seeking a multi-talented developer who is comfortable working on multiple languages to help develop my clients main product, this will include developing the core functionality, developing software and upgrading the systems frameworks and architecture.
This role requires the developer to be adept at 'two' or more of the following languages:
1.Technical implementation of (open source) institutional repository software (e.g. DSpace, ePrints, Fedora)
2.Java and/or Perl experience
3.Postgres, MySQL and/or Oracle experience
4..NET/C# experience combined with multi-language exposure
5.T-SQL experience
You will have solid experience in enterprise software design and frameworks as well as demonstrating a wide range of technical skills. These include Unit Testing, SQL/Data retrieval and XML/JSON.
My client is expanding rapidly and is now entering overseas markets where their primary product is very much in demand. The product itself is a research management system used by academics and acts as a hub between university systems using Windows, SQL Server, C# and REST, SOAP stack.
