The role:
My client operates within the wireless software domain and is currently looking to expand it's development team by bringing in a Senior Software Protocol Engineer. They enjoy established customer projects in the UMTS and LTE technology sector and are looking to extend their current portfolio
You role will be to assist in the development, maintenance and test of GSM/UMTS/HSPA and LTE extension of protocols. With particular attention to WCDMA and LTE L1 and MAC layers
Essential skills:
* Strong C / C++
* Good knowledge of UMTS/HSPA protocols
* Experience in LTE software development
* Software development experience in 3G access stratum (MAC, WCDMA L1) or LTE access stratum (MAC, RLC, L1)
Knowledge of other programming languages and scripting languages will be advantageous. In addition you will be educated to at least degree level in Telecommunications or Computer Science
