A Senior Application Developer is required to undertake a permanent position for a Global Energy Trading Market Leader.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following -
*Analyse business requirements and evaluate IT options
*Design and document complex application components
*Identify new hardware/ software technologies to fit specialized business needs and configurations
*Develop and test complex IT solutions based on business requirements (enhancements to existing systems, or develop new systems)
*Report progress to end users, colleagues and management alike
*Manage the development of documentation and coding standards
*Live and further develop the Quality Assurance process and execute QA on other Developer's work regularly
*Own relevant SOPs and proactively ensure their further development
*Transfer industry knowledge from the business client into the IT team
Business Competencies:
*In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end trading-lifecycle
*Detailed knowledge of several business functions/ commodities
*Good knowledge of physical and/ or financial products
Technology Competencies:
*Thorough understanding of at least two programming languages
*Thorough knowledge of
The key tools currently used within energy trading (e.g. Endur)
At least four tools/ technologies relevant within Energy trading
*Good knowledge of MS Office Tools
Process & Method Competencies:
*Ability to
Conduct complex tests, application and/ or data model developments independently
Manage the development of documentation and coding standards
Live and further develop the Quality Assurance process
*Knowledge of
Infrastructure restrictions concerning availability, interfaces and data volumes as well as performance requirements
Relevant SOPs and ability to proactively ensure their further development
