
Project Summary and Position Overview:
This is a direct sales, quota carrying position within a Global organisation supplying Business and Financial information, Financial Markets knowledge and Technology solutions.
The Sales Specialist for Business Intelligence will be responsible for growing and maintaining the Business Intelligence segment within Corporate Services.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a focused sales plan. Target corporations and selected international companies with a special focus on corporate finance, corporate development, competitive intelligence, information/research, risk and further departments with a need for business intelligence solutions.
* Actively approach and develop existing and new target-groups by understanding client needs, applying consultative selling, cultivating references and developing appropriate product solutions.
* Appropriate collaboration with client service, product-development, operations, and other areas to optimise product and service delivery to meet sales targets.
* Identify key decision makers/influencers within targeted prospects and the overall market
* Drive for results; mobilise and educate internal and external networks and resources.
* Build partnerships with customers, whilst thinking strategically.
* Manage and control selling situations and opportunities.
* Monitor the market-environment including competition, and managing company presence at the right events
* Timely completion of required sales and client related information management and reporting/tracking tasks within a CRM system and other internal processes
Education:
Undergraduate University degree (or equivalent)
Any financial market related certifications an asset
Required / Essential Skills :
* Solid sales or industry experience or related client service experience.
* Strong knowledge of the Capital Markets with the know-how to advise decision-makers and market professionals on topics concerning M&A, competitive intelligence, market/industry research, risk-analysis, data feed-solutions and other capital-market related topics (incl. treasury).
* Must excel and have a track record in creating C-Level relationships at corporations and financial institutions.
* Deep understanding of major financial and regulatory developments affecting our clients.
* Proven track record in entering new accounts and up selling through "consultative selling".
