
Safety Engineers required to support the consistent assessment, by multi-disciplinary teams, of risk-related evidence underpinning release to service recommendations principally for new and modified military aircraft and systems.
You will primarily be engaged in the independent technical evaluation of third-party system or equipment-level safety cases in support of aircraft release to service activity. The SEC (Safety Engineering Contractor) should be capable of providing specialist technical support to customers, by acting as an independent safety assessor or adviser on a wide range of aircraft platforms.
The successful candidate will have experience of safety assessment techniques such as HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, etc; Safety case production, review, or evaluation; Experience of aircraft, aircraft systems and safety evaluation; Knowledge of current aviation safety requirements, e.g. CS or FAR-25, Defence Standard 00-56, MAA Regulatory Publications, Mil Std 882, ARP4761, or EASA Compliance Specifications.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo basic level clearance prior to appointment and current SC Clearance will also be highly advantageous but not essential.
