
Our public sector client is looking for a Service Gateway Management Analyst for an initial 2-3 month contract based in Birmingham.
Role:
You will be working on a team which ensures that projects go into service correctly. This is a governance role working with the Project Management and Live Service teams, and other stakeholders
Skills/experience required:
Each service being introduced has unique requirements in the assessment and influence that the Gateway Management Analyst is required to display:
* Act as an agent for Live Services during the project introduction phases
* Co-ordinate Live Services input into projects through engagement with Project Management and Live Service Management
* Administration of the Quality Gate templates ensuring risk assessments are accurate and up to-date and supporting evidence is recorded and auditable
* Provide status on projects from a Gateway Management perspective
* Provide Operational Risk Assessments for the major Quality Gates
* Provide advise and guidance on Gateway Management activities
* Provide the pre go-live Service "escalation" point for issues and problems, which may be reported by the stakeholders involved

Person Profile:
* Influencing and communication (written and verbal) skills at all levels is KEY
* Practical experience of conducting Quality Gate assessments
* Knowledge of lifecycles for applications and infrastructure in a service management context
* Experience of outsourced engagements and handling relationships with 3rd parties
* Excellent reporting skills and attention to detail
* Proficient in the use of the ITIL framework in a service management environment
* Good planning and control skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Public sector experience
* Good analysis skills
* Experience bringing service delivery and live services together.
* Able to speak with project managers about service delivery and quality gate issues.
