Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Architect for an 8 month contract based in Telford.
Role - The project architect is responsible for all aspects of technical delivery within the project. Working within a team but largely as an individual within the project alongside the project manager. Responsible for all aspects of technical delivery, solution design, production of artefacts and technical management of the project.
Project Architects take ownership of architectural solutions from Viability Architects at the outset of Define. Project Architects are responsible for ensuring that the solution is delivered as it was originally defined - i.e. owning the technical 'vision' - and that, as and when changes are made, they are correctly raised, assessed, impacted and approved. Similarly, the Project Architect must ensure that the solution holds true to the enterprise vision, working with the AAG Strategy and Governance functions to deliver a solution compliant with client technical strategies and policies. Large projects (and programmes) will typically have a "Lead" Project Architect, supported - as the project progresses through the rest of the lifecycle - by a mix of other Project Architects, Software Architects and Specialist Architects. The Lead Project Architect is expected to work alongside and in partnership with the Project Manager and to take accountability for the technical aspects of project delivery.
Technical Skills required:
* Oracle DB
* IBM AIX / MS Windows 2008
* Broad technical knowledge of interfaces - batch, FTP, Oracle replication etc
* Strong technical experience in application hosting and infrastructure design
* Technical management and technical project delivery
* Broad technical skills covering all aspects of re-hosting from design through to delivery, integration and cutover and migration
Other skills required:
* Able to work with various technical delivery teams,
* Teamworking - will be working closely with interdependent projects and deliveries
* Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and priorities
* Leadership experience
* Communication and technical delivery
