Establish Project Schedule:
Assist with developing project activity list, identifying resource requirements, and establish performance measurement baseline (PMB). Define Control Account and Work Package structure. Identify predecessor and successor activities and determine schedule network. Analyse and verify project critical path.
- Analyse project schedule to identify deviations from approved process standards, procedures and quality standards, and recommend corrective actions. (e.g. activity definition, work breakdown structures, earned value techniques).
- Establish the project Risk and Opportunity and Baseline Amendment processes.
- Baseline the schedule.
- Provide ongoing guidance to Engineering Project Teams to assure proper application and compliance of project management tools and processes. Mentor the Engineering Project Teams on cost schedule metrics and earned value data.
Maintain the Project Schedule and perform Analysis (Schedule and Cost):
- Maintain the schedule with activity forecast updates and undertake schedule analysis of critical path and milestone variances .
- Develop cost analysis, and communicate results to program management. Prepare Cost Performance Reports (CPR) and assist with understanding actual variance to plan.
- Maintain the processes related to project management systems (e.g. Earned Value Management, Risk Management, Baseline Change Requests, etc.).
- Actively participate in presentation of the integrated project schedule to the project team, Senior management and Customers. Work directly with customers to integrate customer/supplier plans and schedules as required.
- Prepare data to support customer reviews and audits. Participate in customer negotiations that include developing review material and assisting the Engineering Program Manager throughout the negotiation process

- Knowledge of Earned Value concepts.
- Proactive individual capable of establishing and leading consistent Project Management processes (typically schedule and risk management) within an Engineering Project Team.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desired Characteristics:
- Develop and manage Program & Project Management Processes. Generate and publish process manuals, handbooks, and training materials for project management as they relate to Earned Value, Scheduling, Performance Analysis, and Risk Management.
- Conduct and/or manage special ad-hoc studies and analysis as required by Engineering Management.
- Understanding of estimation and budgeting process.
