
Programme Manager - Factory/Technology/ Capability/ Operations Transfer (Aerospace, Engineering, Manufacturing) is responsible for the execution of program goals, which includes cost, schedule and scope for the life cycle of the program. These goals would include using such metrics as Estimate At Completion, Risk Identification/Mitigation and customer interfacing measures of performance. The program manager is also responsible for the strategic business objectives of the programs and contributing to achieving the goals of the business area.
Responsibilities:
Lead Transfer of Technology Project Teams, covering Original Equipment, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul capabilities.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from all functional areas including programmes, technical, financial, manufacturing, customer training and administrative areas.
Set, agree and manage expectations for work scope and delivery with Customer.
Agree and implement criteria for Customer sign-off and approval of milestones and deliverables.
Establishes milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss price, schedule, and technical performance and expectations. (Including foreign travel).
Develop appropriate customer relationships and expand capabilities with the customer.
Develop and agree Statement of Work with Customer for Transfer programs.
Responsible for the cost, schedule, scope and technical performance of Transfer programs.
Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, proposal work statement, budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Proactively identify program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Manage active Risk Register and risk mitigation planning activities.
Invoicing and payment collection for agreed milestones.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or similar level of knowledge and experience
Demonstrable program/project management experience in avionics development and life-cycle management programs for aviation platforms
Experienced at international transfer of production capabilities or factory transfers/relocation
Characteristics:
International experience of working with Indian based engineering/manufacturing organisations
Experience and familiarity with commercial avionics and/or mechanical products manufacturing programs
Experience with Aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul processes and procedures
Highly developed business acumen
