
Product Investigation/ Electronic/ Mechatronic Engineer (Fault-Finding, Root Cause, FRACAS) you will be required to lead structured fault investigations, working closely with the workshops and production to get to the root cause of the failure. Managing your own workload, you will drive and facilitate improvements to both products and associated systems.
Responsibilities:
You will engage with all specialist engineering groups within the business and External component suppliers to understand and create solutions to both electronic and mechanical problems. Working closely with the Product Support Engineers and Post design Engineers to ensure that all design changes are implemented correctly throughout the product family. You will provide support for Electronic products through their complete lifecycle from initial design to in-service.
Activities include:
* Co-ordinating and participating in Full Root Cause corrective actions on Electronic instrumentation
* Implementing design improvements
* Generate technical reports for internal/external customers
* Technical focal on all Electronic investigations
* Working on customer engineering improvement projects
* Managing and investigating customer failure returns
* Managing, reviewing and responding to Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System information with suppliers, customers and manufacturing facilities
* Working closely in partnership with Post Design and Product Support Engineers to maintain technical documentation related to the system and product.
* Managing and reviewing maintainability and reliability data of in service aircraft instrumentations
* Implementing cost reduction activities
Key Requirements:
* Qualified to degree level or above in Electronic/Mechatronic/Aerospace discipline or similar level of knowledge and experience.
* Experience in working in an Aerospace environment or similar is required.
* Experience in working with electronic products such as displays, flight management computers, radar, cockpit instrumentation, flight data recorders or power systems
* Hands on approach to component level fault finding
* Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action working methods.
