
The role will involve database versioning and source control and installation and upgrade processes as well as the following key responsibilities:
*Design, Sizing, tuning, upgrades, issue resolution.
*Working with the technical services and support teams on customer database issues
*Consider the operational, deployment and support impacts of any design decision taken, deferring to the appropriate level for guidance when potential questions arise.
*Take part in the daily scrum meetings.
*Participate in the monthly development team meetings
*Assist the testing team and rework activities when required
*Assist the support team
Successful candidates will require a strong and in-depth background of Oracle Database design, sizing and administration. They will also require strong technical skills in Oracle Database Server 9i and above, PL SQL, command line scripting and TOAD or SQL Developer. Candidates will have a technical degree and be an Oracle Certified Professional while a background in the Health sector would be advantageous.
