
An Oracle DBA is required to join a leading Business Intelligence organisation that specialises in collecting, managing and exploiting information to reveal actionable intelligence. The Oracle DBA will provide support across a number of key projects, focusing on Oracle 11g, RMAN and SAN storage technologies. This is an excellent opening for an experienced Oracle DBA to join an organisation that offers fantastic training and career prospects.
The successful Oracle DBA's responsibilities will include but not be limited to: initial configuration of the Oracle environment, monitoring and supporting the database environment, liaising with application support specialists and configuration of appropriate access controls and authentication mechanisms. You will also be responsible for audit policy configuration and analysis of the database, performing and configuring backup and restoration of the database and development of the appropriate patch management strategy.
Interested applicants will have demonstrable experience of administering business critical Oracle Database environments on Unix platforms. You will have experience with the design and development of replication and cluster environments using Data Guard and RMAN. Desirable experience includes ArcSight or another SIEM toolset.
