
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a cutting edge NHS IT agency as a Network Engineer to support and assist with the delivery of departmental network infrastructure including all Cisco data/voice hardware and software.
In this role you will be responsible for
*Day to day support and management and monitoring of the organisations data and voice networks,
*Build and configuration of new network equipment, including installation of software and ensuring that all builds are in line with ICT documentation. Ensure that all configuration management information is updated
*Decommission old equipment in line with ICT documentation. Ensure that all configuration management information is updated
*Managing access permissions to systems and shared data using available tools
*Delivering technical projects with departmental impact including developing and implementing test plans, effective document management, appropriate policies such as Internet Usage and release plans with User and Support Acceptance
*Diagnoses of hardware faults, logging calls with external maintainers when necessary. Assist engineers attending site and swap parts without supervision when necessary
*Documents processes and procedures to ICT documentation standards and peer review documentation when required
*Negotiating with customers/service owners regarding schedule of downtime for maintenance of servers and applications
*Working closely with all members of ICT ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
As the ideal candidate you will be a Cisco certified Network Engineer with strong stakeholder management skills and a proven experience supporting network infrastructure within complex environments
