A Global organisation supplying Business and Financial information, Financial Markets knowledge and Technology solutions seek an experienced Operations Management Information Analyst to join a Global division within their Andover offices.
Position Overview:
*Provides analysis of essential management information to all areas of Operations and across the wider business, guiding decision making, performance management and process improvements to improve efficiency and the customer experience, reduce cost and increase revenue.
*Provides coaching support to the Operations Management Information Team and supervisory/workload management support to the Operations Management Information Manager
Duties to include:
*Provide contingency support for all work handled by the Ops MI and Finance Operations Specialists
*Utilise existing reporting and supplement as required to provide analysis to guide managers in identifying performance issues and potential process improvements
*Regularly work with the Specialists to review current working practices and ensure efficiencies are achieved and reporting value is improved
*Assist in developing new report requirements and maintain complex reporting to achieve deadlines and provide operational benefit
*Act as a mentor within the team by consistently displaying the required behaviours in all areas including (but not limited to) written and oral communication, quality of output, flexibility and adaptability
*Coach colleagues on systems, processes and working practices used within the team
*Act as an owner of project related reporting requirements and participate in meetings / discussions to ensure no delays or negative impacts as a result of lack of information or incorrect/misinterpreted information
*Assist in the management of team members and priorities in support of and in the absence of the Operations MI Manager
*Monitor operational processes and subsequent process changes for compliance, efficiency and effectiveness
*Monitor trends and feedback/escalate as appropriate
*Support the Ops MI Manager to coordinate priorities and process changes with our off-shored Finance Operations function based in Hyderabad, India
*Proactively identify areas of improvement and support Operations efficiency and cost saving goals
*Accountable for achieving deadlines and producing work to the required standard
*Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to achieve the best results for the business
*Demonstrate adaptability in dealing with regularly evolving tasks
*Support Operations Managers to aid them in achieving the goals for their departments
*Participate in project activities as required
Required Skills
*Supervisory experience
*Data analysis / reporting
*Understanding of the order to cash process with particular focus on cash payments and allocation
*Constructively challenges existing working practices
Desired Skills
*CIMA qualification an advantage
*Experience of thriving in a fast changing environment
Technical knowledge :
*Competent SAP R3 user
*Advanced Microsoft Excel
*Basic to intermediate Microsoft Access
*Microsoft Word to a minimum of intermediate level
*Competent use of Microsoft Outlook
