Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Architect / Technical or Products SME for an initial 6 month contract based in Telford.
Role - An exiting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join the team of technical architects on a number of developments to modernise the client's office infrastructure. The right candidate should have knowledge of the existing infrastructure and knowledge and experience is some of the new infrastructure technologies required.
Specialist Architects typically have very deep and detailed knowledge of one or more specific technologies, technical areas or functional areas (e.g. networks, data or infrastructure). As such, they are likely to be involved - through engagement by Viability Architects or Project Architects - in a number of projects at any one time, at any stage of the HPGF lifecycle, in order to both maximize exploitation of their expertise and drive consistency in its application across the estate. They may also be referred to as Technical or Product Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Technical Skills required:
* Wintel platform (desktops, laptops, FAPs, printers hardware, O/S and software) and supporting central infrastructure like Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, Roaming Profiles, DHCP, Software distribution (e.g. Radia, SSCM ), Application Virtualisation.
* Windows 7, XP, Server 2003, 2008.
* Wintel platform (desktops, laptops, FAPs, printers hardware, O/S and software).
* Supporting central infrastructure like Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, Roaming Profiles, DHCP, Software distribution (e.g. Radia, SSCM ), Application Virtualisation.
Other skills required:
* Good presentation and communication skills.
* Be able to influence others.
* Very important to be flexible as the work will vary.
* Ideally ability to drop to the lower level and also step up to the higher level work when required.
Candidates must be eligible to undergo basic security clearance.
