External Reporting Manager required for a leading energy company.
-The positions purpose is the effective management of all of the Group's financial reporting responsibilities, including the quarterly release and Annual Report and Accounts processes, in accordance with accounting standards and legislation. You will also manage the Groups relaitonship with external auditors.
-You will also champion accounting knowledge throughout the Group and brief the executive management team and Board of Directors on accounting issuses and their resolution.
-The role will inlcude managing the smooth introduction of new accounting standards and liasise with external agencies on financial reporting issues.
You must be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge.
You must have experience of complex consolidations for multi-national compnaies and external reporting for listed companies reporting under IFRS.
You will have an expert understanding of IFRS
You will be able to manage and develop a team of professional staff.
You will have a good understanding of the oil and gas sector and likely inpact of the latest accounting developments
