This is a newly created role to support, partner and challenge the Fulfilment & Distribution team whose responsibilities include management of postage, printing and capacity planning, and to provide insightful and accurate financial performance on both the operational and project performance of the Division.
You will support and develop a 'strong' financial control environment within Fulfilment & Distribution that befits a business with multiple, complex supplier arrangements.
Duties will include the provision of finance support and commercial analysis to project/procurement teams on negotiations with new 3rd party suppliers, coordination of the Budgeting and forecasting process for the Division, driving continuous improvement on utilisation of the cost base and other methods of driving efficiency, ownership of the month end process for the Division, provision of insightful commentary on variances to the business, leading liaison with other areas of Finance to ensure appropriate processes are developed and embedded, and developing the financial reporting and associated MI Reporting suite for new suppliers within the Division.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant with relevant experience in commercial accounting. Good experience of cost management and previous exposure to vendors and contract management will be beneficial, and experience of working in the Financial Services sector would be advantageous.
